Treatment Philosophy:

Naturopathic Medicine –
The six philosophical tenets of Naturopathic Medicine serve as my guides while approaching each patient:

  1. First do no harm. The aim is to use the most gentle means possible to affect a cure.
  2. The healing power of nature. Naturopathic physicians recognize that there is innate healing wisdom within the universe–both within our own bodies and within our environment—through the abundance of natural therapeutics available.
  3. Treat the whole person. Naturopathic physicians understand that symptoms are not isolated entities but rather are complex expressions of a greater physiological process.
  4. Treat the individual, not the disease. That is, two patients, despite having the same medical condition, will receive entirely different treatment plans based on their own expression of the disease as well as other processes at play.
  5. Doctor as teacher. To truly empower someone is to educate them about their condition and provide them with the tools to influence their own health.
  6. Prevention. The best medicine is to prevent disease from occurring in the first place as well as prevent further progression of a disease process that has already manifested.

With these philosophical tenets in mind I employ the following therapies to support patients on their journeys to wellness:

  • Exercise
  • Water therapy
  • Light
  • Nutrition
  • Bodywork
  • Homeopathy
  • Botanical medicine
  • Lifestyle counseling
  • Stress management techniques
  • Yoga
  • Pharmaceutical medications

Classical Homeopathy -
As a homeopathic practitioner, I recognize that a person’s mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health are all connected and are all expressed in an interrelated way. Therefore, I recognize this expressive pattern or portrait and try to match it with a similar essence or archetype of a medicine. In this way, homeopathy is a highly refined and individualized medicine. For this reason, homeopathy catalyzes healing in a very deep, profound and transformative way.

Using homeopathy, I can treat a wide range of conditions such as asthma, eczema, urinary tract infections, depression, anxiety, digestive problems, insomnia, and hives to name a few. These medicines are so highly diluted that they are safe for babies, pregnant woman, and the elderly

Graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, 2005
Bachelors of Science (Chemistry) from The Evergreen State College, 2000

Personal Statement:
I graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon in 2005. NCNM is the oldest of the naturopathic medical schools and is a nationally accredited 4-year graduate institution leading the way in alternative therapeutics and research. Particularly interested in helping patients with challenging chronic diseases achieve optimal health, I incorporate homeopathy, nutrition, herbs, yoga, exercise, lifestyle optimization, environmental improvement, and stress management techniques.

Having had atopic dermatitis (eczema) my entire life I have come to understand the relationship between physical health and its influence on mental, emotional, and spiritual health and visa versa. After witnessing how naturopathic and homeopathic medicine continuously improves my own life I am inspired to share this with others.

I am particularly interested in helping other people with chronic health conditions such as atopic dermatitis, chronic pain, migraine headaches, asthma, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, high blood pressure rise above their health challenges. As a compassionate and devoted physician I am enthusiastic about helping patients transform and unearth their radiance and resilience.
